3 Days in Paris

When visiting Paris a good start after checking in to your Paris Hotel is to have an overview over the city. This can be done either by a river cruise down the Seine or from a view from the Eiffel Tower. During the high season the waiting lines for the Eiffel Tower can be quit pesky as it counts up till 2 hours. Some say the view you get is not worth the wait but who can visit Paris without climbing up the monument. The Seine river cruise might be touristy as well but you get to see important monuments of Paris from a different angle. Some cruises start from the Eiffel Tower, down the river pass the Louvre then d’Orsay and at the end the Notre Dames and then back again. At night you have a nice lighted view of Paris but by day you see much more. You can do both depending on the waiting lines at the Eiffel Tower.

The best view of the Eiffel Tower is from the Jardins de Trocadero right accros the seine with at your back the Palais de Chaillot. For a picknick, which probabely will be the time for after visiting the Eiffel Tower you best stay on the same side. Between the Eiffel Tower and École Militaire you have a large park named Champ de Mars.

After a quick snack it is time for the next stop.3-days-in-paris-Arc-de-Triomphe From Trocadero you can take the subway to Charles de Gaulle which is the station for Arc de Triopmhe. The monument is dedicated to the unknown soldier and has been the focus for patriotic events. From here on you can walk down the Champs-Élysées, the most prestige and wide street of Paris. Walking down you pass lots of Restaurants, Bars and shops. It is also the last stop on the tour de france.

Next stop is Louvre which is open till 22h

(10 p.m.) on Wednesdays and Fridays. You can spend your whole vacation in the Louvre, but when time is limited so should the visit at the Louvre be. Before you go you should plan out which exebitions you want to visit and where they are located else you will easily get lost. If you have some extra time just wonder arround you will find lots of pleasant arts which you didn’t hoped for.

After a long day it is time to relax at a good restaurant and perhaps after a good bar.
