3 days in Paris visit : Day 3
On the final day of our 3 day visit to paris we are going to have a more relaxing day where we will stroll on the left bank of the seine and visit the more quiet places of Paris. We will avoid more museums, visit gardens, the opera, a famous cemetery and close the night off with a beautiful view over Paris by sunset.

We start they day at the Grand Palace of Paris. A big glass exposition hall build for the world exposition of 1900. It was build together with the small palace and Pont Alexandra III, A must see bridge. Close to the Grand Palace you will find the Place de la Concorde, a busy square which attracts many tourists. It’s size will impress you as it is bigger then 8 hectare. In the center you will find the obelisk of Luxor.
Connecting to the Place de la Concorde you can walk through the Jardins de Tuileries which used to be a part of a bigger whole as the Palais de Tuileries burned down earlier. In the center of the garden you will find a pond, walking up towards the opera you will bypass a shopping street and in the middle place de vendome. Place de vendome is a small square with a victory column erected by Napoleon representing himself on top as Caesar.
At the end of the street you will find a square where the opéra national de Paris is located. This magnificent building doesn’t only look marvelous from the outside, the inside is breathtaking as well. Inside you will find the rich decorated grand staircase, the opera house with painted ceilings and the chandelier. You don’t have to be an opera fan to enjoy this piece of art. If you wish to see the auditorium be sure there is no play going on in the near time as it might be closed for rehearsal .
The next stop might not be a daily place to visit but the cemetery of Pere-Lachaise is worth visiting. It is the burial site of numerous French authors, writers, musicians and more. It is a peaceful break from the crowded Paris tourist attractions. Not only are the graves of the famous Frenchman like Chopin or are worth visiting but you will find satisfaction in the graves of others.

You might want to get a bite before we end our last day. Near Montmartre you will find plenty of restaurants with both quality as a good price. When we are full with some greatness of the french cuisine we will continue to the Basilique du Sacre-Coeur. This basilica is located on top of the hill of montmarte, the highest point of Paris. From here you not only get a great view over Paris, the basilica is worth visiting as well. The best time to visit the Sacre-Coeur is at sunset which gives a wonderful view. A lot of people will be there to join you, sitting on the stairs enjoying the moment.
As a final stop we will visit the Moulin Rouge, the birthplace of the can-can. We do not recommend attending a show at the Moulin Rouge as it is overpriced. But from the outside you get a nice view at night from the red mill.
This concludes our 3 day visit in paris. I hope you enjoy the trip!
